Engineered By Racers
For Real Riders
AT1 Pro Race Suits is an Australian custom motorcycle gear manufacturer founded by mechanical engineer and racer Dominic De Leon. We treat apparel as deceleration and kinetic energy management hardware — built to your measurements, proven in ASBK competition, and shipped to riders worldwide.
The Founder
Dominic De Leon was born into motorsport. His father was a 13-time undefeated Caribbean car racing champion. Dom was riding from age four on a Yamaha PW50, growing up in paddocks and understanding vehicle dynamics and crash mechanics early. After surviving a severe fire-related motorcycle accident and an 18-month recovery in his youth, he relocated to the UK, competing on a Honda CBR600 under the team "Lab Rats" and qualifying for iconic road racing courses like Oliver's Mount and the North West 200.
Moving to Sydney in 2013, De Leon applied his professional background in mechanical engineering and building management to motorcycle gear. He recognised that standard suits — designed for European Grand Prix body types — restricted breathing and movement for real-world Australian track-day riders and grassroots racers. The fit was wrong, the ergonomics were wrong, and the cost-to-safety ratio was unacceptable.
He created AT1 Pro Race Suits in Heathcote, NSW, restructured the business into a direct-to-rider boutique model that eliminates traditional retail markups, and remained an active racer — winning the 2025 Unlimited F2 Championship and the AMCN "Most Improved" Award on a Kawasaki ZX-10R.

Strategic Pillars
Mechanical Engineering DNA
Apparel is treated as deceleration and kinetic energy management hardware — not fashion. Every panel, seam and slider is engineered with physics in mind.
Real-Body Ergonomics
Tailor-made sizing engineered to eliminate skeletal restraint, arm pump and armour rotation. Built for real-world Australian riders, not European GP body types.
Paddock-Proven Validation
Tested and refined across high-speed crashes in national and state championships — ASBK, WorldSBK support, and the St George Summer Night Series.
Direct-to-Rider Model
Eliminates traditional retail markups and administrative overhead, democratising access to bespoke airbag-compatible leathers with full custom graphics.
The Craftsmanship
Every AT1 suit begins with your measurements — 12 key body measurements that capture your anatomy precisely enough to produce a second-skin fit. We keep your measurement profile on file, so reordering a second suit or a replacement panel is fast and simple.
The leather is cut from full hides — never offcuts — with grain direction optimised for abrasion resistance in the highest-wear zones. Seams are double and triple high-tensile safety stitched in recessed channels to protect threads from direct friction. Keprotec Kevlar-based stretch panels at the groin, inner arms and calves provide dynamic mobility. Accordion leather joints flex where you need them.
The slider package, speed hump and airbag routing are engineered into the chassis from the first cut — not added as an afterthought. Every suit is quality-checked before it leaves our Heathcote workshop.
